I put together some of my “Fashion Favorites” that are quotes and tips to help you re-calibrate your look for the upcoming season – see if you agree…
Here are the first 6:
1. Be Focused
“In the past I have had closets so full they could burst. Now I prefer to have only a few things, but good ones.” – Ines de la Fressange, model and designer
Focus on what makes you happy. Commit to eliminating everything from your closet that that makes you unhappy.
2. Be Fearless
“Style is more interesting to me than beauty. Style is about panache and about embracing individuality…that’s what beauty is about for me – celebrating uniqueness not conformity.” – Isabella Rossellini, actress
Be forward in your fashion thinking. If not now, when?
3. Be Flawless
“Someone once said, ‘Genius is the capacity for taking infinite pains.’ Therefore, when dressing, be absorbed completely and utterly in yourself, letting no detail escape you. However, once dressed, be interested only in those about you.”
– Diana Vreeland, fashion editor
The beauty of being well dressed for every occasion is that you get to completely forget about your appearance and enjoy the company of others.
4. Be Feisty
“When in doubt, wear red.” – Bill Blass, designer
Fashion can be your friend when expressing your personality. Well chosen prints, accessories, and colors can help you express yourself faster than your words can.
5. Be Firm
“A woman does not simply wear a dress: She lives in it.” – Hubert de Givenchy, designer
The best clothes to wear are the ones that are well-fitting. Well-fitting clothes can erase self-consciousness. Ill-fitting clothes can get in the way of communication.
6. Be Faithful
“Style is very different from fashion. Once you find something that works, keep it.” – Tom Ford, designer
Your style is your own. Stay faithful to it.

Excellent, Jill. I’m looking forward to Part 2! I hope you’ll add a word about modesty (but I can’t think of a word beginning with “f” for that). I’m thinking of lots of other words, though … like feminine and fabulous!
Let me take a moment to thank you for not only lots of fashion wisdom, but also character and a desire to reflect the Creator’s creativity too.
