Over-sized: You’ll see some oversized jackets, flowing overcoats, and billowing dresses in this spring/summer’s fashion forecast. You may be lured in by the comfort appeal it has, but the truth is, they can be uncomfortable. The extra volume of fabric often shifts from its place leaving you feeling sloppy, and focused on keeping your clothing in place.
Snazzy Suggestion: When you try these looks on, give them a test drive. Walk out of the dressing room and peruse the racks for a couple of minutes. Do you notice the clothing or do you feel completely comfortable? When you reach for something or sit down, what happens to what you’re wearing? If it gaps, sags or bags, it’s likely, this piece will make you so uncomfortable, that if purchased, it will be relegated to the back of your closet.
If you love the style and color, try on a smaller size. Do the same walk-around. If you’re at home in the outfit, and notice only how good it feels and looks, you’ve found a winner. If not, keep looking.
