Transparency – You might find the sheer fabrics and layers of tulle over shirtdresses, and camisoles, or peeking out an inch or two below skirt hems attractive. The models you see wearing them have pins in uncomfortable places as well as double-sided tape holding everything in place. The outfit is worn for the audience and cameras. One wrong move and the carefully placed pieces would reveal far too much.
Snazzy Suggestion: Transparent pieces of clothing are accessories, and can help you make a fun fashion statement. Shirtdresses, camisoles, and shells that fit you well, are excellent under garments if you’re drawn to sheer fashions. If you choose a longer sheer piece to go over a dress, try them on together and then, sit down where you have access to a three-way mirror. Does anything pull? When you stand up does the sheer covering still look great or does it reveal you were sitting? Perhaps for a sheer touch on a dress or with a shell and flowing slacks, a long scarf would be a better option.
If you prefer to wear a sleeveless shell, tank top, or a camisole with a sheer over-cover, try them on together and reach for something high, low, and in front of you. If you feel a pull, or the seam of the top article of clothing rubs in your underarm area, you may want to reconsider. If you’re comfortable in your clothing, you will look and feel more beautiful.
