My February newsletter gave 5 things that we all need to abolish from our wardrobe if we don’t want to look fat, flat or frumpy. In this blog series, I’ll be giving you the counter points to the frustrating five so you can walk out the door looking and feeling fabulous!
SKIRTS THAT FLATTER
A straigtht skirt with tapering at the knee works well for the woman with thin legs, balanced hips and/or shapely calves. The tapered hem gives a curvy shape.

An a-line skirt that floats off of the hips and has a soft movement works well for most of us – as long as the fabric flows down gently, skimming the widest point of the hips.Hems at the knee are generally most flattering length and fabrics that are not stiff.

Skirts that flow and dance at the knee or ankle and have a print pattern make wonderful camouflage for our “not-so-perfect” areas.

I enjoy all three of these skirts! They each have a unique place in my wardrobe. Skirts round out the closet and add so much diversity. More women should wear them. Pants can get boring. Thank you, Jill for this focus!
